Microwave Convection Cooking

Use the new microwave pasta cooker to quickly cook the pasta or cook the traditional way. Then, mix with ready prepared seafood and sauce for an easy casserole. A spring-like combination for a cold winter day. 

PENNE WITH SHRIMP & ASPARAGUS 

2 cups uncooked penne pasta (about 8 oz.) 
2 cups broken fresh asparagus 
2 green onions, sliced 
1 clove garlic, minced 
6 oz. frozen cooked shrimp, (thaw under cold water) 
1/2 cup canned or refrigerated Alfredo sauce 
1/4 teaspoon salt 
Freshly ground pepper 

1. Cook pasta as directed in pasta cooker or as on package. Drain and set aside. 

2. Meanwhile combine asparagus, onions and garlic in 1 1/2-quart microwave-safe casserole. Cover tightly. 

3. MICROWAVE (100%) 3 to 4 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender. Add shrimp, sauce, salt, pepper and cooked pasta; mix lightly and cover. 

3. MICROWAVE (100%) 3 to 4 minutes or until heated through, stirring once. 
About 4 Servings 

TIPS · Store any leftover Alfredo sauce in the freezer. Add a little milk and heat to use on other pasta or vegetable dishes. 
>Favorite soup can be substituted for Alfredo sauce. Add 2 tablespoons milk to achieve sauce consistency.
