TOFFEE-HAZELNUT BARS IN A JAR
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup coarsely chopped hazelnuts
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup toffee pieces
1. In a 1-quart glass or plastic jar, layer brown sugar, chocolate pieces, flour, baking soda, salt, hazelnuts, coconut and toffee pieces. Top with a tight-fitting lid. Print the following directions and tie on the jar:
2. To Make Bars, soften 1/4 cup butter in a microwave-safe mixing bowl by microwaving 20 to 30 seconds. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add 2 eggs to butter, beating well after each. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add contents from the jar; stir until combined. Spread in 8 or 9-inch square silicone baking pan.
3. COMBO-BAKE on low rack with 10% microwave power at 350 degrees for 14 to 15 minutes or until center springs back when touched. Cool; cut into bars with a silicone spatula.

TIPS
>Coconut can be omitted; increase nuts to 3/4 cup.
>Almonds or walnuts can be substituted for hazelnuts.
>When using a glass baking dish, be sure to lightly grease dish.
>To make bars without mix in a jar, combine butter, eggs, and vanilla. Then, add ingredients listed, except add chocolate pieces with nuts; mix well. Bake as directed.
